Description
The Raptor 2RA Short knee brace has a lightweight frame constructed of aviation-grade powder-coated aluminium, and is attached by cushioned adjustable straps at strategic points on the thigh and calf. The upper and lower frame segments are joined by the polycentric 2RA splint system which allows physiological knee movement with range-of-movement adjustment in 20 degree increments. The lower frame has been shortened to reduce weight and allow the brace to be worn in conjunction with ski boots.
The Raptor Short is ideal for functional (non-surgical) treatment or post-operative use following moderate to severe ligament damage. Fixed anchorage is incorporated in the frame anteriorly on the thigh and posteriorly on the tibia. Stabilizing straps equipped with silicone anti-migration pillows provide additional support and prevent migration of the orthosis on the limb.
