The AM-WSP-01 Children High Dorso-Lumbar Back Support provides support in the lumbar spine and extends up to the thoracic region. It provides a high level of support for lower spinal injuries and conditions, and is particularly suited to protection against spondylolysis.
Description
The AM-WSP-01 children’s back support is made of AirRubber material, a special orthopaedic skin-friendly rubber/cotton blend with unidirectional elasticity that can be stretched, increasing the length but not the width, thus maximising compression. The rubber braids are highly breathable and also provide the skin with a gentle massage.
The brace has four rear anatomically shaped metal stays with a sweat-resistant coating to offset the strain caused by repeated arching of the back, and a semi-rigid back plate to reinforce lumbar stabilisation. The front of the brace is lower than the rear in order to relieve pressure on the diaphragmatic area. A wide Velcro fastening strap enables easy regulation of the compression and support provided.
